Leonbergers -Large & Loyal ** With Zoe's Musings on Zoe's Word

The first photo is Bridger my puppy’s daddy!  One of these beautiful puppies is ours!
I’m still reading every book on positive dog training that I can lay my hands on and I’ve learned so much! Some of the wonderful books I’ve explored are… “It’s Me or the Dog” by Victoria Stilwell, “Top Tips from Top Trainers” by The Association of Pet Dog Trainers, Cesar Millan’s book called “How to Raise the Perfect Dog” and Sondra our puppies breeder recommends “The Dog Listener” by Jan Fennell. “The Dog Listener” will be a book I start this week!
Zoe the cat knows something’s up! I thought that she wasn’t aware of the puppy toys and treats I purchased for our baby girl who is not yet with us.  Well I ran out of can cat food Saturday morning and dry food alone doesn't cut it with Zoe! I had a Pens of Praise Writers group to attend that morning and I needed to write so I had to beg her off the meowing with a few cat treats.  In my writers room I have the dog toys and treats in a bag on a dresser. Well she jumped up there as I was clicking away at my keys and dug and sniffed around. Then she jumped down and purposefully looked around to see what she could knock off a book shelf!! I redeemed my favor with the putty-cat by buying her some Taste of the Wild –Rocky Mountain Feline formula with Roasted Venison & Smoked Salmon grain-free diet! Also what really got Zoe liking her lips was TikiCat canned cat food!  You would think she caught it herself she is soooo satisfied and lovie!!
Zoe's word for today is If you keep My commandments {if you continue to obey My instructions}, you will abide in My love and live on in it, just as I have obeyed My Father's commandments and live on in His love.   I have told you  these things that My joy and delight may be in you, and that your joy and gladness may be of full measuer and complete and overflowing. This is My commandment: that you love one another {just} as I have loved you. John 15:10 - 13 Amplified Version.  As you can see salmon inspired Zoe to dive to the deep places in the word of God today! May you truely be aware of and deeply blessed by our God and King today and the whole week through!!

  2. Greetings Kim, yes the big decision of the day is where to put the crate...in the bedroom or in the livingroom very close to our bedroom....decisions decisions!! I like what I'm reading to praise as the dog does the position you want-sit or lay and you give them a treat to get them to recognize the command! I'm liking this new way to communicate!

  3. Zoe is a very smart cat! I appreciate her insight into scripture :) I am sure that when she meets the new puppy, it won't be long until they are close friends :)

  4. Hi Patti! We have our treasured puppy and Wow the potty training is intense! We are making head way though! The Zoe cat is still undecided but touching noses at times. That is a very good sign! :)
