What a blessed and busy year has passed. One of our most precious highlights from 2013 was learning that our granddaughter would be born in February of 2014! The clock is ticking and we will meet her soon!
This is our daughter, Vanessa, with a baby on the way. These are some of the photos of us setting up for the baby shower. Vanessa had found the idea for the 'Mother to Bee 'shower on Pintrest. She and I did the shopping for black tablecloths and coloful yellow napkins etc. and thankfully she is a wonderful bargain hunter and planner. We had our doubts as to how this would all look, but she has the vision to see how an event will turn out. As we were setting up we all teased her about the black tablecloths of course!
I’m not just saying this because she is my daughter, but this was the most beautiful shower I’ve ever attended!

It was mid November when we
held a shower at Country Memories Farm. My friend, Becky McLafferty, was very accommodating
concerning every detail! A huge blessing and surprise was when our oldest
daughter, Jackie and her friend Heather and my youngest grandson Donavin
arrived in time to help set up and celebrate with us!

I did tell Jackie that these photos were going on line! I just couldn’t
resist! sticking these in!
The games were fun, everything from the candybars in the diapers to pennys at each plate. We drew a prize for the year on the winning penny. We had wooden blocks at the tables for names ideas for the baby. Table groups had only the blocks from their table to work with to make a list of baby girl names. People actually did pretty well!
All in all it was a splended time with splended people for a splended purpose!
